Since I was 15 and became a member in the Sámi youth organization Sáminuorra I’ve been deeply engaged in the societal issues concerning the Sámi community and the development in Sápmi. I’ve worked in different sectors of society and gained experience from many versitial companies including journalism and public service, schools, tourism and industrial work.

In 2021-2025 I was elected for a seat in the Sámi Parliament on the Swedish side, and as a board member for the health-,elder-, and athletics committee. I was also elected a board member and treasurer for the sámi women's organization Niejda.
My childhood as a daughter in a reindeer herding family, and member of a Sámi village, has impacted my engagement in especially issues regarding equality and equity. These issues, I think, have huge impacts on all other areas of society and lifestyle, since our core values are so deeply connected to how we communicate, behave and create together.
